Now for the tour that I was really looking forward to. We were picked up from our hotel in an air-conditioned mini-bus. We then had to go to another hotel to pick up another couple who had also booked the trip. So it was going to be a nice relaxed tour seeing as there were only four of us. The other couple came from Burgess Hill and were a lovely couple. Jacqui and Bernard their names.
Before we left Bangkok, we called in at the flower market to get some flowers to lay at the memorial to the servicemen and local asians who lost their lives in the building of the ‘Death Railway’ as it is known.
